SMATTER Magazine is a general interest publication founded in New York City in 2025.

We are unprejudiced about what makes a worthwhile subject and are eager to turn the reader’s gaze toward a variety of topics. We hope they will be entertained and informed—their thoughts provoked.

To this end we offer both strange and conventional writing and illustrations. Our stories range between the factual/newsy and the weird/expansive. Cultural criticism is a feature, too. All of it non-fiction.
